DJ Awesome: I been DJ-ing since the age of 12, and professionally since age 17.

DJ Awesome:When I was younger I was known as the "crowd motivator", not much has changed from then I still rock crowds and motivate people to dance sweat and move there feet.

Free Ambition:Do you have a favorite moment as a DJ, or particular event that you were a part of?

DJ Awesome:Favorite moment… hmmm when I was about 18 I did my first major event DJ-ing in a park in Mt Vernon NY for Ruff Ryders, the Whole team was there DMX,

and EVE… That was my first major gig in front of maybe 15,000 people after that open many doors doing radio and large events.

Free Ambition:What do you love the most about your work? What do you hate the most?

DJ Awesome:Meeting new people is the best about my job…
there are not many downfalls about being a DJ but I don't like a pest customer… someone who is drunk and begging to hear their favorite song

Free Ambition:What is your opinion of the current state of Hip Hop? Is it a dying art form, or do you believe the best is yet to come?

 DJ Awesome:The Art left a while ago… Now its a bunch of 1 hit wonders payola and favors… Not to many good hip hop artist any more. This is a bad game when the best rapper from up north is 40 years old and still selling millions and just a handful of good artist here in the south.

DJ Awesome:Met and worked with just about everyone from Usher, Ne-Yo Jay-Z, to Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane.

DJ Awesome:My Best Friend that past last year. Ron Walton. His father was a DJ on Kiss BLS in NY and I loved the art ever since

Free Ambition:What are some of the obstacles that you have faced getting started your industry?

DJ Awesome:People willing to open up, and give someone young a chance.

DJ Awesome:This is not a CD or push play job, learn the art use or try vinyl and learn from a good DJ, not just anyone.

Free Ambition:Where are some of the cities you have traveled to on business?

DJ Awesome:NY, Boston all up and down the east coast, Vegas, Puerto Rico, Canada, LA, TX, been around the states from the tour life.

Free Ambition:Where do you see yourself as a business man in a year? 

DJ Awesome:Hopefully doing Satellite Radio.

DJ Awesome:80's baby so nothing drastic just love to try and keep up with the time..

DJ Awesome: Don't have favorites as a DJ my job is to like whats hot and keep my crowd moving… I give anyone a chance when you have great production.
