Free Ambition: Where are you from?

Kelsey NyKole: I'm originally from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Free Ambition: Where do you currently live?

www.atlanta.com

Kelsey NyKole: I live in ATLANTA, Georgia.

Free AmbitionHow old were you when you knew you had a unique voice, and wanted to pursue a music career?

Kelsey NyKole: I was 7 yrs old. I performed "reach out and touch somebody's hand" in front of the whole student body and parents, and they loved it, and from that day on I knew entertaining was what I wanted to do.

Free Ambition: The recent music trends have put rap on unfair music pedestal, Do you think people are finally starting to appreciate vocalists again?

Kelsey NyKole: I think people will always appreciate vocalists... It will be an always 'needed' energy in music. No one wants to be TURNT UP all the time. .. a sweet subtle song will always the go to when you want to relax and mellow out after a long day YA know... its the circle of life tho. .. R&B will have it's time again, it's coming back around now I believe.

Free Ambition: What message do you want your fans to walk away with when they hear your music?

Kelsey NyKole: I want my fans to feel sexy, empowered, like they can conquer the world after hearing MY records. I want them to feel like life is fun not stressful and depressing YA know. Even though we fall, and get hurt. It's all for a brighter reason, it's to make US better.  I want people to look forward to life, and not to want it to be over. Here's to forever!!

Free Ambition: What make you unique among the current female vocalists in the industry?

Kelsey NyKole: My style and MY sound.  It's comparable to some but it stands alone.  It's a very unique, distinct, sound and my grind and DRIVE is what sets me apart also.

Free Ambition: From the release of “Shopaholic” to Couples Therapy, and your current hit “Can't feel My Legs”...would you do anything different?

Kelsey NyKole: Not at all. "Shopaholic" set me apart from everyone on the local scene when I was on the go and grind in my city, and I appreciated they greatly...I created my own lane then.

VH1 Couples Therapy gave me new material to write about. And "Can't Feel My Legs" is the grown and sexy woman that I've become,  So I think it all sites growth and progress which is what people want to witness.

Free Ambition: What has been your favorite experience along your journey to stardom?

Kelsey NyKole: Gaining respect as an artist, watching people watch me grow. And watching those who didn't believe in me become believers.

Free Ambition: Kelsey, you have also proven yourself as a professional model, making appearances in music videos and multiple fashion show runways; will we continue to see you model, along with singing and songwriting?

Kelsey NyKole:Absolutely...especially if the check is right LOL... no...but yes I owe a lot to my modeling abilities.  It's what got me into the industry to network and make my music abilities be known so yes. The modeling and even the fashion industry will definitely remain a passion of mine, and I plan to grow and exist in that field as well.

Free Ambition:  I love your style, and the blonde, layered Mohawk; do you consider yourself a fashion trendsetter?

Kelsey NyKole: Absolutely!  I'm an Aquarius so doing what other do and going with other trends is not even in my nature.  I'm the kinda girl that will always test my limits, and do what other people won't dare to do. And rock it with confidence!!

Free Ambition:  Who are your favorite fashion designers?

Kelsey NyKole: I'm in love right now with a designer called AVANTOOH, and I love Raquel the Fashion Label, along with Bebe and I like the work of Balmain too.

Free Ambition:  How can people follow you?

Free Ambition: Who have you worked with?

Kelsey NyKole:

Free Ambition: You have given back to the community on a few occasions, including performing for the Tri-Cities High School prom, and visiting and reading to school kids along with Reec from 107.9. What feelings do you walk away with, when you share your time with others?

Kelsey NyKole: I feel amazing!! Knowing that I can give myself, share my talents to the youth to encourage, and inspire them to dream big and believe in themselves and their abilities...that brings me life. Letting them know that nothing is impossible, not to take no for an answer, reaching for the stars, working super hard to make their dreams come true is what I always let them know. And with the reading to the kids, I love that the most. My child had trouble reading so I know how tough it can be and how important it is to be a great reader; from the challenges I helped my son overcome.

Free Ambition: Who was your inspiration to follow your dream as a vocalist?

Stevie Wonder

Kelsey NyKole: Stevie Wonder and Beyoncé.

Free Ambition: Where do you see yourself professionally in a year?
